Remainder of SCORPIONS / MEGADETH Tour Dates Cancelled

A bummer for fans in the south.

A bummer for fans in the south.

The remaining dates of one of the biggest tours of autumn have been cancelled. Scorpions just announced they won't be able to fulfill the last week of their massive United States arena tour with Megadeth.

The reason? "Severe laryngitis," according to a statement from the band:

The Scorpions regretfully announce that due to severe laryngitis, the remainder of the U.S. 2017 tour with Megadeth will be cancelled. Klaus Meine has been advised by top throat specialist in Los Angeles to rest his voice. If he continues the tour, he could risk permanent vocal damage.

The band stated, "that they truly hate to disappoint our fans, and hope to come back to America soon, but this time we have no choice but to cancel."

*Tickets refunded at point of purchase.

The following dates are affected:

Oct. 08 – Phoenix, AZ – Talking Stick Arena
Oct. 11 – San Antonio, TX – Freeman Coliseum
Oct. 12 – Dallas, TX – Pavilion at The Music Factory
Oct. 14 – Ft. Lauderdale, FL – BB&T Center
Oct. 15 – Tampa, FL – Amalie Arena

Metal Injection was there when Scorpions and Megadeth performed at Madison Square Garden and there are some killer photos from that night.

Scorpions, who have been touring with Motorhead drummer Mikkey Dee behind the kit, made sure to pay tribute to Lemmy ever night:
