Machine Head's Robb Flynn isn't the only one who is being kept from playing due to surgery.
Shadows Fall drummer Jason Bittner was diagnosed with acute pancreatitis and had to cancel a week's worth of dates because of it. Jason still isn't feeling too well, but the show must go on. In a new statement he said:
"As of last week I was told to rest for one more week and then as long as I'm feeling better, I can resume starting to play again in order to recoup and rejoin the tour- at this present time it's hard to say exactly when I will be 110%, maybe a week, maybe 2, maybe even longer, but rest assured I will be doing my best to get back as soon as humanly possible without chancing a relapse. I appreciate all the well-wishing and support, so in my absence please still go and support my other bandmates and the Party to the Apocalypse tour!" I shall return" – Jason
Brandon Lundeen from Trumpet The Harlot and Jay Waterman from Thy Will Be Done are filling in.
There is about a week left on the tour. Hopefully, Jason will be well enough in time for the Killswitch Engage tour next month.
