Almost one year ago, Coal Chamber announced a slew of Australian reunion shows. Turns out they were testing the waters. A source close to the band told me once that they didn't think anybody cared about the band, and they were shocked at the overwhelmingly positive response they got at Soundwave. People went nuts. So, I guess it's time for them to test the waters in the US, as frontman Dez Fafara recently tweeted:
Coal Chamber is in talks with
@hobsunset in LA to play our first HOMETOWN SHOW in over 10 years.STAY TUNED GOOD TIMES AHEAD#SpookyCore— Dez Fafara (@evilriver) August 23, 2012
Could this be the beginning of a full-fledged US tour? Dez is already locked up in the Fall with Devildriver touring with GWAR, but next year, the band is taking off, mostly to write. Could Dez squeeze in a month of CC touring? Is this something you want too see? Let us know in the comments.
