Chris Cornell's widow Vicky Cornell and their two minor children have reached a settlement with the doctor who they claim "over-prescribed" Chris "dangerous mind-altering controlled substances" in the form of the anti-anxiety medication Lorazepam.
According to Deadline, the Los Angeles Superior Court has ruled in favor of the Cornell family against Dr. Robert Koblin, though the settlement remains undisclosed.
"After years of litigation and settlement negotiations, plaintiffs and (Koblin and Robertson Cardiovascular Center LLC ) have reached a confidential settlement agreement to resolve all claims asserted by each plaintiff," said the Cornell family’s attorneys.
"Unfortunately, as with many celebrity cases, this action has also attracted the attention of troubled individuals who have harassed plaintiffs, including by threatening the life and safety of plaintiffs Toni Cornell and Christopher Nicholas Cornell."
A separate hearing will occur on July 26 before Judge Michael E. Whitaker to approve the settlement for both Cornell's children.
