CORPSEGRINDER Plans On Doing A Solo Tour

Though not as a headliner.

George Corpsegrinder Fischer

Cannibal Corpse vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher put out his debut self-titled Corpsegrinder solo album earlier this year. Now in an interview with Vox & Hops, Fisher revealed that he absolutely plans on doing a solo tour to support the album. Fisher said he'd love to tour both North America and Europe with the project, though headlining the tour would be out of the question since Corpsegrinder is only 10 songs long. Fisher also points out he wouldn't do any Cannibal Corpse songs on a solo tour.

"I plan 100 percent to tour. I'm not going to let this album just get released and not be able to tour for it. Now obviously we have some things lined up for Cannibal, first being this tour [that just happened in February]. But you know I have the same management [as Cannibal Corpse] – you know, the same booking agency – so [management] are working with me, and of course they work with Cannibal Corpse. So we're going to make sure that nothing conflicts, you know and that's number one. My priority is Cannibal Corpse."

Corpsegrinder featured bassist Nick Bellmore and drummer Charlie Bellmore of Dee Snider fame, as well as a guest appearance from Cannibal Corpse guitarist Erik Rutan. Though I think the biggest question is this – who would Corpsegrinder open for?
