Dååth released their first new record in 14 years in 2024 alongside a re-recording of their 2007 track "Subterfuge" and then a bunch of covers – Slipknot's "Get This (or Die)", Morbid Angel's "Where the Slime Live", and Death's "The Philosopher". You'd think after all that, Dååth would just do some touring and quietly work on new music… but nope!
According to Dååth in their year-end post, they've already got new music lined up for 2025. "I feel good calling this year a success!" wrote the band. "2025 is already looking eventful. Our first tour in 15 years is going down in March (Europe with Rivers Of Nihil, Cynic, and Beyond Creation), and we've already got some new singles in the bag. If all goes according to plan maybe we'll even finish our next record. Crazy right? I've been writing riffs all year and I'm starting to get subtle hints of which direction we're taking it."
The aforementioned tour with Rivers Of Nihil, Cynic, Beyond Creation, and Dååth kicks off on February 28 at the Essigfabrik venue in Köln, Germany. Tickets are available here.
