Swedish melodic death metal titans Dark Tranquillity have stormed into Fascination Street Studios in Örebro, Sweden, to embark on the recording of their highly anticipated new album.
The band shared a glimpse into the studio today, unveiling a brief video of drummer Joakim Strandberg Nilsson laying down the foundation for the follow-up to their 2020 opus, Moment.
Accompanying the video was a simple message: "It has begun! This week officially marks the start of the recording process for the next D.T. album. Have a quick look at Joakim laying down the rhythm foundation at Fascination Street Studios. Stay tuned for more info!"
The new record will be Dark Tranquillity's first with bassist Christian Jansson (Grand Cadaver) and drummer Joakim Strandberg-Nilsson (In Mourning, Nonexist), both of who joined in 2022, and their first without guitarist Christopher Amott, who announced his departure from the band last July.
