Post-post-post-post-black metal outfit, Deafheaven, have just released the cover art and official track listing for their upcoming LP, Sunbather. The album is due out June 11th via Deathwish Inc., and to call it anticipated is a huge understatement. The band was virtually bukkakied with critical praise for their 2011 debut album, Roads To Judah, and rightfully so. The album was a revolutionary fusion of black metal, screamo, and shoegaze; essentially it's metal for Joy Division fans. So it's no surprise that expectations are high for the band's sophomore release.
Those of you unfamiliar with Deafheaven's music may be put off by the ultra-hipstery artwork above, but don't let that alienate you. These guys aren't traditional metal in any sense, yet they create music that's as heavy and compelling as anything Slayer has written.

The band is also headed out on a European tour in a couple weeks, but they have a few west coast dates scheduled in May if you want to catch them live.
