Divine Heresy is back for the first time since their 2009 album Bringer Of Plagues, though with a completely different lineup. The band is now founding guitarist Dino Cazares (also of Fear Factory) and newly-recruited vocalist Lauren Hart of Once Human. According to a statement published by Cazares on the Divine Heresy Facebook page, the duo is currently working on new material and is actively seeking new members. Cazares also mentions that Divine Heresy being active will not affect his work in Fear Factory.
"I’m almost ready to write some new material w/ singer Lauren Hart. I will be handling all guitar and bass. I currently do not have a drummer or bassist for live or possible tracking, so any professional musicians in the USA interested let me know.
Let me be clear about this: I will not be using any former members. With that being said R.I.P. Joe Payne [who passed away in 2020] one of the best bassist/guitarist.
"We are currently record company free so all of this will be supported out of our own pockets. Ps. This does not take away from any other things that I’m currently working on."
Divine Heresy has previously included drummer Tim Yeung (ex-Hate Eternal, ex-Morbid Angel), vocalist Tommy Vext (ex-Bad Wolves), and drummer John Sankey (ex-Devil You Know, Devolved).
