Earlier this month we reported on one of the weirder feuds of the year. On October 6, Insane Clown Posse frontman Shaggy 2 Dope tried to dropkick Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst on stage at the Rock Allegiance festival in Camden, NJ. The dropkick missed by about half a mile and Dope was reportedly arrested. Then Limp Bizkit's DJ Lethal called Shaggy 2 Dope a "bitch ass clout chaser" and a bunch of other stuff that I'm pretty sure is parallel to the English language before WWE Hall of Famer Iron Sheik told them all to get along. See? Totally weird, and even weirder that Insane Clown Posse never addressed the whole situation.
Now Violent J, the other half of Insane Clown Posse, tells The Orange County Register that Shaggy 2 Dope was "just having fun" and if he was really trying to fight Durst, it would've been "a lot more serious and ruthless."
“Well, you know, just wild style. Fred Durst is a friend of ours, you know what I mean? Just having fun. Things look so crazy when they get into the news wire. He obviously threw it as a fake thing. If he actually wanted to hit him I don’t think he would have thrown a pro wrestling dropkick. It probably would have looked a lot more serious and ruthless.”
I do like this response, mainly because it boils down to "if he wanted to kick your ass he TOTALLY could, but he just was just fooling around and that's why it was awful." I'm also not sure if anyone is buying this response, for that reason and the fact that it came so, so much later.
