I love Bruce FN Dickinson. Much like the honey badger, he doesn't give a shit. The man has swagger. Confidence! Perhaps, arrogance. In a recent interview with Metal Hammer magazine, Bruce went off on Metallica (most likely for no apparent reason) saying:
"You've just got to have a sense of fearlessness," Dickinson said. "I got into trouble for saying that we're better than Metallica… and, it's true! They might be bigger than us and they might sell more tickets than us and they might get more gold-plated middle-class bourgeoisie turning up to their shows but they're not Maiden. I did say it's a bit of a wind-up. I thought, if I'm going to turn into an (expletive), I might as well, you know, go for it!
If I had a drink in my mouth, I would've spit it out when I read "gold-plated middle-class bourgeoisie." How is that even possible? Then again, when I saw the prices for the NY Big 4 show, I realized that only the bourgeoisie could afford decent seats. And, this recent Monopoly news certainly isn't helping Metallica's case. Who is better in your eyes?
