Yesterday, we learned that over the weekend as many as 60 people were ejected from A Perfect Circle's show in Reading, PA for violating the band's no photos policy. There seemed to be a debate amongst Metal Injection readers as to if what was going on was warranted or not. Ultimately, it is A Perfect Circle's show, and if you don't like it, you don't have to go to the show.
A fan on Instagram asked frontman Maynard James Keenan about why he did what he did and ThePRP noticed that Maynard responded. Maynard's opinion on the matter was short and sweet:
“No. Recording. Of. Any. Kind. For. 25. Years. Guided experience. Unplug and and enjoy the ride.”
Some people reported being chastised by security for just having their phone out and checking it, not even taking photos.
Thankfully, Metal Injection got proper credentials for our photographer, and took over 30 photos legally of the band. View our gallery from their Brooklyn show here.
A Perfect Circle are promising a new album in 2018, and have been playing a new track, "The Doomed" on their current tour. Get dates here.
