Old KORN Drummer Thinks New KORN Lacks Groove, Blames New Drummer

Former Korn drummer David Silveria thinks the new Korn tune, "Never Never," lacks any groove and publicly blames new drummer Ray Luzier for the issue. What the hell?

So according to Silveria's Facebook:

For all the fans asking the answer is no I have not heard a new Korn song. All I can say is I'm sure it's not funky and groovy like the original Korn. I don't even need to hear it to know that.

Alright, I can see why Silveria would think that given the band's current track record of releasing different music than what they used to (which I'm not saying is a good or bad thing), but give it a listen at least! Slightly harsh and unfair just to dump on a song you haven't heard. When asked by fans why he thinks the band lost their groove, he responded:

I am a funky groove drummer and ray is a heavy metal drummer. That's why Korn will never sound as unique as we used to… I'm not talking crap on Korn. I'm just saying until they have the real "funky drummer" it's just not gonna groove the way it could. I've made it clear that I would come back and restore the groove.

Silveria also points out that he'd gladly tour with the band, but Jon never asks and "[Jon] will never publically tell the truth." About what? What the hell are we missing out on? I think there's equal parts butthurt on here; Korn's new single might be (subjectively) "groove-less", but I'm not sure Silveria is the supreme savior he thinks he is. Korn have chosen a different artistic direction, and that's totally fine. Some fans will love it just as much as others won't. All a matter of opinion! Not to mention the dude sounds a little bitter about whatever happened to led to him not being around anymore. Do I smell a rebuttal from Jon Davis soon?
