Ex-ARCH ENEMY Vocalist Angela Gossow Is Plotting A New Extreme Metal Band

Also, new Arch Enemy this year.

Also, new Arch Enemy this year.

Angela Gossow fronted Arch Enemy from 2000 to 2014, at which point she decided to step down and become the band's manager. Gossow says her decision to do so was because she felt that too many managers took advantage of the bands they were managing, and she wanted her artists to make more money.

All told, the last album Gossow fronted was 2011's Khaos Legions, though we might be hearing more from her in a different project come 2018. Roughly translated from her French interview, Gossow says she'll focus on her new project once the new Arch Enemy album is all wrapped up.

"Yes, I want to make a new extreme metal project, but this will happen after Arch Enemy and work with Alissa will be concluded and the whole world will sail in calmer waters. I suppose this will be in 2018, when we concluded the first series of tours and all the rest. I will do so when the time comes."

So I guess new Arch Enemy too this year, huh?
