Over the past six months, ex-Of Mice & Men vocalist Austin Carlile revealed his struggles with Marfan Syndrome, a potentially deadly connective tissue disorder. Dealing with the disease ultimately led to his departure from the band.
Carlile has since moved to Costa Rica, and through a series of Instagram Story posts, has said he's been in the hospital for the past few days, and most recently has been airlifted to a different hospital in San Jose to have two cysts on his spine removed in emergency surgery.
It has been a rough 8 months, not out of the woods yet, the fight continues on, I must as well. Please keep me in your prayers this evening.
Like Snapchat, you're not able to recall Instagram Stories after a period of time, but one fan screenshotted them. So here's hoping everything goes well for Carlile.
My prayer goes to Austin Carlile right now. @austincarlile, you're a fighter. You can do this.
