Rob Dukes was the frontman of Exodus from 2005 to 2014, at which point he was replaced by former vocalist Steve "Zetro" Souza. After leaving, Dukes had some less than pleasant things to say about the band, but I guess that's water under the bridge.
Come July 8 at The Chapel in San Francisco, Exodus will be joined by Dukes once more! Exodus will be playing two nights at The Chapel – one on Friday, and then the Saturday show will not only feature Dukes for a few songs, but also ex-guitarist Rick Hunolt, Heathen guitarist Kragen Lum (who has been filling in for Holt live), and maybe ex-drummer Paul Bostaph (who you also know from Slayer).
Exodus guitarist Gary Holt tells CBS SF that the band hasn't played the Bay Area in a while, and he's stoked for the reunion.
"The first night is going to be [current singer] Steve Souza's first headlining show with Exodus back in the Bay. We're going to put together a pretty varied setlist and try to pull out a couple of deep tracks. It's going to be really killer. The second night, we've got a few special guests lined up. It's going to be awesome. We have Rob Dukes coming up to sing some songs. I'm super stoked about that."
Exodus is hoping to hit the studio this fall, and release an album next year.
