EYEHATEGOD Isn't Putting A Timeline On Vocalist Mike IX Williams' Return

"We hope to tour again with him sometime next year, but we are not putting any kind of time line on it."

Eyehategod has been playing shows here and there throughout 2016, though more recently without vocalist Mike IX Williams. Fill-ins for Williams have been big names like Lamb Of God's Randall Blythe and Down's Phil Anselmo, though the extent of our knowledge as to why Williams is absent is minimal. All we know is that it's "health issues," and if the man chooses to keep his private life private, then obviously we've all got to respect that.

Here's what Eyehategod bassist Gary Mader told Alternative Nation in a recent interview about Williams.

"I’m sure we will be doing shows with him again. The important thing is the he gets better. Of course everyone knows he is sick and that is the only thing he cares about being public about. It is definitely a situation that has a fix. We hope to tour again with him sometime next year, but we are not putting any kind of time line on it. Our main concern is that he gets 100 percent better so we can play with him again."

Ultimately, however long it takes for Williams to get better is how long the dude should be out. Eyehategod has plenty of friends to fill in while he's out, and when he's back the band seems to want to welcome him back with open arms.
