Last week, Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler revealed his new project, Deadland Ritual. The band would also feature former Guns N' Roses drummer Matt Sorum, Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens and Apocalyptica vocalist Franky Perez.
The first single and music video were unveiled today, called "Down In Flames." The sound the band is going for is very much adult contemporary hard rock, which seems a bit surprising at first. But, it's a solid track. Take a listen:

The first shows scheduled for the group are Download Festival on June 14nd and France's Hellfest Open Air on June 22nd. The band will play a few covers from their previous bands in addition to new material.
The group is currently working on new material and unsure if they will end up releasing a full length or an EP. It's interesting how fast the band is moving landing gigs and putting out a single – something a band of this caliber would likely not do in the past, without having a full-length to promote.
