FRANK BELLO's Plane Skids Off Runway, EXODUS Gets Stuck In The Snow For First Night Of Tour

Things got weird on the way to Idaho.

AnthraxBlack Label Society, and Exodus attempted to kick off their North American tour last night in Boise, ID and things didn't quite go as planned.

For starters, Anthrax bassist Frank Bello's flight from Texas to Idaho skidded off the runway into a ditch upon arriving at its destination. A report from Fox notes that the flight was American Airlines flight 2990, which was carrying 168 passengers and six crew members. No injuries were reported.

"Ever have one of those flights to start a tour where on landing you feel a 'thud,' then you hear the brakes screech a bit, and when you finally stop moving the plane is a bit tilted down to the right side in the front?" said Bello in an Instagram post. "Well after keeping us in the plane for 3 hours after landing- we found out we were in a ditch… anyway- Not the best way to start a tour, but I’m really looking forward to playing the first show in Idaho tonight!! Good times ahead!!"

Exodus wasn't so lucky. The band got stuck in a snowstorm on the Donner Pass mountain pass in Sierra Nevada trying to get to Idaho and, after three updates to fans letting them know they might be late, unfortunately had to miss the show all together.

"Okay third time posting! Exodus are force to miss tonight's show in Boise," said Exodus guitarist Gary Holt. "The SHOW WILL GO ON WITHOUT US. Only we were stuck on the closed Donner Pass, so we have been forced to just bail and head to the second stop of the tour, Seattle.

"Some have called the venue to ask if the show is off. It is not, only Exodus will miss Boise, Idaho. Sucks bad! I hate it, nothing we can do, but join our brothers in Anthrax and Black Label Society on the second show. So Boise, GO SUPPORT OUR BROTHERS TONIGHT AND RAGE HARD!!! Wish we were there. SEE YOU IN SEATTLE!!!"

The trio will play tonight in Seattle barring any further mishaps. And we really hope there aren't – touring is hard enough as it is.
