GORGUTS Frontman LUC LEMAY On Upcoming New Music: "I Have A Clearer Vision Of What I Wanna Do"

"I'm gonna start working on this right after this tour."

Gorguts

Canadian death metal powerhouse Gorguts has been churning out brutal tunes and pushing the boundaries of the genre for decades. While the band has taken a break from releasing new material ever since their 2016 effort Pleiades' Dust, they're gearing up for a comeback.

In a recent interview with RichardMetalFan, Gorguts' frontman Luc Lemay, shared some thrilling insights about the band's future plans.

"The new album, I'm gonna start working on this right after this tour. I took a long break from composition. My mind was just not into it. And I didn't feel I had anything to say. But now I have a clearer vision of what I wanna do, so it will be an easier task to do."

Gorguts made headlines earlier this year when they performed for the first time in nearly six years at Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest: Philly. To celebrate their triumphant return, the band played a special set featuring exclusive material from their groundbreaking albums, Obscura from 1998 and Considered Dead from 1991. It was a night that left fans hungry for more.

Gorguts recently wrapped up their tour with Cannibal CorpseMayhem, and Blood Incantation and you can check out some photos of their  L'Olympia concert on September 28 here.
