You might know artist Vincent Castiglia from Triptykon's latest record, where he did all the art, or maybe from when he did a portrait for Margaret Cho with her own blood. Outside that, Castiglia has been featured as numerous galleries and has even had legendary artist H.R. Giger talk about how good he is… which is essentially being put on an entirely new pedestal.
Now there's a biography being made about the life and art of Castiglia, titled Bloodlines: The Art and Life of Vincent Castiglia, but filmmaker John Borowski needs your help! Check out the Kickstarer right here, which so far is moving along at a healthy clip, and check out the summation of the project below.
"Bloodlines: The Art and Life of Vincent Castiglia is a feature documentary film produced and directed by award-winning filmmaker John Borowski. The film focuses on artist Vincent Castiglia's inspirations and personal experiences. His work is singularly unique. For over a decade, he has painted exclusively in his own blood. Recently, there have been many requests by his collectors to have his highly specialized paintings created for them in their blood, so he has begun working on select projects (chronicled in the film)."
Seriously, let's help a great artist leave another mark on the world!
