If you were a hardcore fan in the '90s, there is no way you could have avoided Quicksand. They were "post-hardcore," and huuuge. But not huge enough to stick together, eventually disbanding due to lack of interest. Much like the Refused earlier in the year, the band has found a new following is out there wanting to see them perform, and they now have two sold out NYC shows and a festival appearance lined up. Seeing as though the music booker at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon has exceptional taste (previously booking acts like the aformentioned Refused, GWAR, Megadeth, Judas Priest, Mastodon and even Yngwie FN Malmsteen), and since the band was in town they dropped by to perform two tracks.
