Ice Nine Kills recently released a limited edition t-shirt to benefit Australian efforts again the ongoing wildfires. The t-shirt was available for 48 hours, and in the end raised over $54,000 AUD (or $37,303.20). Which is absolutely mental for t-shirt sales and shows the willingness of the band's fans to donate to a good cause.
Profits from the sale are being donated equally between Australia Zoo's Wildlife Warriors – a non-profit organization founded by the late Steve Irwin and his wife, Terri Irwin, to aid in the protection of injured, threatened or endangered wildlife – and the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief and Recovery.
The Australian wildfires have burned 17.9 million acres of land and has destroyed 1,588 homes in NSW alone with another 650 damaged.
