Now that Dr. Bruce Dickinson is all cancer free, he has time to focus on his private jet business. And he's really taking it seriously. Evening Standard reports that Dickinson will be pitching private jets at England's premium department store Harrods. Being a Yankee bloke, I've never heard of the store but our friends at MetalSucks describe it as " mall the size of a city block designed by English royalty for Russian royalty."
Dickinson will be hanging out pitching his company Aeris Aviation, of which he is CEO. The jets go for a reported £2 million which translates to $3.1 Million, and these are the lower end of the market! The Standard describes the "low end" jet as such:
The six-seater can fly at up to 41,000 feet, reach a top speed of 430mph and has a range of 1,125 nautical miles. Aeris claims that it is the most fuel-efficient twin-engine jet in production, using just 200 litres of fuel an hour while cruising. However, it lacks a lavatory.
Nowhere to pee and poo? No thanks!
This seems like quite the premium establishment and it will be interesting to see if the mall ends up littered with metalheads rubbing elbows with the "elite" spenders.
In Maiden-related news, here is a behind-the-scenes featurette of the making of the band's new video "Speed of Light."
