IVAN MOODY Was Pissed About FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's Anti-Mask Music Video In 2020

"It won't ever be done with my name on it again."

Five Finger Death Punch's music video for "Living The Dream" was about as subtle as someone printing their opinion on a paddle and beating you over the head with it. The video featured everything from masked-up citizens getting "Compliant" buttons with the Communist hammer and sickle symbol to folks wearing People's Republic of America shirts, but don't worry! It was all just a bad dream had by our forefathers.

Now in an interview with Metal Hammer, Five Finger Death Punch vocalist Ivan Moody has revealed he was pretty pissed off about the video. Moody said guitarist Zoltan Bathory didn't quite tell him about the contents of the video despite acting in it, and was especially displeased about essentially being the face of the band and having to answer questions about the video.

"I showed up for two days and Zo told me to run across the grass, screaming and holding the American flag, so I was curious to see it. Then when he released it, I called him, like, 'You implemented your own platform into Five Finger Death Punch, and now I'm gonna have to answer for it, because I'm the singer.' And it ended up going down like a fart in church!

"There was the mask thing and the awkwardness of the whole thing. That's what he visualised, but it's not what I had in mind when I wrote it. For those who understood it, great. And for those who didn't, I'm sorry, I didn't agree with it either. I love Zoltan to death, that's his opinion, but it won't ever be done with my name on it again."
