Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford was recently filmed kicking a phone out of a fan's hand during a show in Illinois. The reason he did so was because the fan had the camera light on and it was interfering with his performance. While the fan has not yet spoken out as to why they had the light on, Halford has addressed the issue in a statement to Loudwire.
THE FACTS ARE WE LOVE OUR FANS AND YOU CAN FILM US ALL YOU LIKE AND WATCH OUR SHOW ON YOUR PHONE RATHER THAN IN THE FLESH. HOWEVER IF YOU PHYSICALLY INTERFERE WITH THE METAL GOD'S PERFORMANCE YOU NOW KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN.
Obviously we still don't know the fan's side of the story, but going from Halford's perspective, I would imagine having a tiny light coming from a very dark crowd would be very annoying. As I'd pointed out in the original story, Judas Priest doesn't seem to have a problem with fans filming the show either, as you can see tons of cameras and phones in the video.
