Well, it's official! Pepper Keenan, who hasn't grabbed a guitar or stood up to a microphone for Corrosion of Conformity since 2006, is back in the group! Both Corrosion of Conformity and Down posted about it on their Facebook and announced a brief UK tour to celebrate. The Down Facebook page also briefly elaborates on the fact that while Keenan is rejoining Corrosion of Conformity, he's not quitting Down:
It's official. Down guitarist Pepper Keenan will be returning to Corrosion of Conformity for a tour of the UK and most likely more. Pepper has not left Down by any stretch. Don't worry about that. Stay tuned to the Corrosion Of Conformity Facebook for updates!
It seems more than likely Pepper will be on a new record with Corrosion of Conformity.
So now the real question: Will we be getting a Down-meets-Corrosion United States tour? Keenan is a workhorse and can more than likely pull double duty, and both bands are hard as diamond nails when it comes to touring and being badasses… we'd be the first ones in line.
