KID ROCK's Gun Heavy, Anti-Trans Tirade On Twitter Is Painfully Stupid

And hypocritical!

Kid Rock

Kid Rock is mad at Anheuser-Busch this week because they sent trans activist and social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney a handful of custom Bud Light cans to celebrate "day 365 of womanhood." In protest, Kid Rock bought a bunch of Bud Light with his own money and then shot 'em up with bullets he also bought with his own money, and posted the video to social media.

To call this video performative feels like an understatement, and for a lot of reasons. First is having his back turned to the camera to show off a hoodie advertising his own event, whose front logo then stays in the frame for the majority of the time. Totally coincidental. Second, this is equivalent of buying a bunch of a band's records and then burning them – again, you still spent money on them and thereby support a company you "hate." Great job.

Third and most importantly, if you go to Kid Rock's restaurant's website and look at the menu, they still serve Bud, Bud Light, Bud Light Lime, and Busch Light – all Anheuser-Busch products. So the dude will get on social media to make a statement like "Fuck Bud Light. Fuck Anheuser-Busch" to win over certain crowds but then will keep buying from the company to serve at his restaurant. Really sticking to word for being a "clear as concise as possible" in your "hate" of Anheuser-Busch, Kid.

Though this is all in line with Kid Rock's whole "MAGA right wing" personality that he's clearly using to sell records at this point. I mean come on, the guy wants you to believe that he's some down home country badass when his childhood home sold for $1.3 million. But it's worth remembering that ain't nobody gonna tell Kid Rock how to live.
