Last week we finally, finally got to hear Serpentine Dominion's debut single. For those unaware, the band features Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, Cannibal Corpse vocalist George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher, and ex-Black Dahlia Murder drummer Shannon Lucas, though now it has come out that the band also features Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach as a lyricist!
Leach talked about his ghostwriting in an Instagram post below, though you can check out the important part right here.
“So I wrote some of the darkest lyrics of my career! I was originally hired as a ghost writer but the boys decided to out me (I’m secretly really stoked they did)! What an absolute HONOR to be a part of this project! This album is just next level! If you would have told a 16 year old me I’d be writing lyrics for George from Monstrosity (better known now for his work in Cannibal Corpse) I would have lost my mind! Interesting! Considering Leach joined Killswitch again in 2012, I wonder if this had anything to do with his reuniting with the band? Pre-order Serpentine Dominion's self-titled debut here.
