Hey, remember that really great Killswitch Engage song that leaked a few months ago called "No End In Sight?" It's heavy and great and everything we loved about Killswitch.
Well, guitarist/mastermind Adam Dutkiewicz was interviewed recently, and asked how the leaked song compares to the album as a whole, and he said it does not represent the whole album.
The album is actually heavier.
In a recent issue of Guitar World, Adam D. said:
“It’s actually the one tune that’s pretty different from the other stuff. Overall, the rest of the album is a little faster, a little meaner, a little growlier — thrashy but with lots of clean parts. We’re going a little more extreme this time.”
Honestly, I was worried that the opposite would be true, that it would be lighter. But it looks like Killswitch is getting back to it's roots with this new album, and the return of vocalist Jesse Leach, who sang on the band's first two releases.
The band is gearing up to hit the road next week for the Alive Or Just Breathing 10th year anniversary tour. Hopefully, they'll play some new material on the trek. Get the dates here.
