Drummer Joey Jordison, known for his writing and performances in both Slipknot and Murderdolls, passed away at 46 years old earlier this week. The world is still coming to grips with losing Jordison, and that includes Korn guitarist James "Munky" Shaffer.
Shaffer recently spoke to TMZ about the death of Jordison, calling him a "fucking warrior" and expressing his shock over the loss.
"I'm in shock, I'm in shock. I can't believe it. That guy is such a fucking warrior. He loved drums, loved music, loved playing. He would jump in and play with anybody if he felt like it was a passion because he just loved heavy music. He loved playing his instrument. It's very sad. It's very sad that he's gone so young."
Jordison and Shaffer were briefly bandmates in Korn during a 2007 touring cycle. This was when David Silveria left the band and Korn had not yet recruited current drummer Ray Luzier.
