Kvelertak are melting faces all across the United States on their current tour, when suddenly the band's drummer, Kjetil, could not continue due to some arm troubles. Not to worry, the band have found a suitable replacement in Jay Weinberg.
Weinberg, a huge Kvelertak fan, spent some time touring with Against Me! and Madball, oh and he filled in for his dad a few times with this guy you might of heard of called Bruce Springsteen.
According to a story we heard, from a very reputable source, one of Kvelertak's handlers from Roadrunner Records heard of the band's need for a temporary drummer and immediately thought of Weinberg, and called him. Weinberg accepted on the spot and said he could be where they needed him the following day, saying he was thoroughly familiar with all the band's material and sure enough the next night he was rocking like he was in the band the whole time.
Overall, a happy ending to what could've been a terrible story. You already should have been going to see Kvelertak live, they put on one of the best and rawest shows imaginable, but now you get the extra bonus of catching them with Weinberg. Get dates here.
