Limp Bizkit recently canceled the remainder of their tour with Spiritbox over what they were calling "safety concerns." Vocalist Fred Durst elaborated a little on his Instagram, mostly to clarify that guitarist Wes Borland didn't have COVID.
Now Durst has opened up a bit more to Billboard, saying that the "system is still very flawed" and that the band was concerned about the safety of their audience.
"In short, the system is still very flawed. Even if the performers, crews, staff, and promoters do their best to ensure safety on and behind the stage, that doesnāt ensure the safety of the audience as a whole. We are all in this together, and we all — individually and as a whole — have to make our best efforts to be as responsible and proactive as possible moving forward to combat and stop spreading COVID."
At least we got a new song (kind of) out of the band while they were on the road.
