Earlier this year, Manowar announced they were re-recording their 1988 masterpiece Kings of Metal to commemorate the album's 25th anniversary. There's no set date, but the band told fans to expect the updated Kings of Metal album sometime in spring of 2014. This past Monday (11/18/2013) marked 25th birthday of the album. To commemorate this special occasion, Manowar gave fans a very special peak into the recording process of the revamped Kings of Metal MMXIV! WATCH IF YOU DARE! NO WIMPS OR POSERS ALLOWED!!!

So there you have it, a short video of bassist Joey DeMaio and an unnamed recording engineer staring at a computer screen while the intro to "Kingdom Come" plays. Then Manowar's guitarist, Mr. Karl Logan, briefly rambles about why he likes the song. HAIL AND KILL, MOTHERFUCKERS!!!
Given Manowar's hilariously over-the-top band persona, this video seems absurdly staid. There were no motorcycles, strippers, or leather to be found anywhere. Joey was even clad in a plain old t-shirt and jeans instead of a loincloth. You'd think the guys would have given fans something a bit juicier to commemorate this once in a lifetime event, but MANOWAR PLAY BY THEIR OWN RULES!
