The good news is that Mayhem Festival is set to return in 2024 and 2025. The slightly less good news is that only one of 'em is a tour.
According to a new Instagram post by Mayhem Festival organizers, the 2024 iteration will be a one-off festival and the 2025 version will be a full-on tour like all the other years. Organizers note that an announcement is coming next Tuesday, June 4. So stay tuned!
Mayhem Festival originally ran between 2008 and 2015. The festival was then slated to come back in 2020, but was postponed to 2021 thanks to the pandemic. Mayhem Festival 2021 was also cancelled for the same reason.
For reference, the final Mayhem Festival in 2015 featured Slayer, King Diamond, Hellyeah, and The Devil Wears Prada as their headliners with support from bands like Whitechapel, Thy Art Is Murder, and Jungle Rot.
