Here at Metal Injection, we like to keep you in-tuned with all the latest scientific studies related to the people who might listen to our music. A new study shows that growing in one of those famed early '00s emo haircuts may cause the eye you're covering up to become "amblyotic." That's just a fancy science word for lazy eye!
But don't run for those scissors just yet. The claims were made by a Tasmanian doctor, and MSNBC got a second opinion from stateside doctor, Leonard Press of New Jersey, who stated:
"The story would only be true if you had somebody young enough, and if that person never looked out of that eye – if it was blocked 24/7. The reason it's false is that you don't have that constant deprivation."
Yea, but that guy's from New Jersey, so what does he know! The lesson here is, only let the emo cut out when trying to look cool (eg: at a show, during class) but if you're just sitting at home by yourself, just let your eye SEE, or else it won't want to anymore.
This concludes today's science break. You may now return to being a teen wolf.
