About a month ago, Metallica launched a fun voting series on their social media that they dubbed "Some Kind of Bracket," which created a bracket for fans to vote on what the best Metallica song of all time is. Here was how the initial round of the bracket looked:
Voting is done and can you guess what the best song is?
No, it's not Frantic – tic – tic – tok.
Nope, not I Disappear either.
The answer is almost obvious – it's their most played live track ever, "Master of Puppets."
The song beat out "One" in the finals of the bracketing. "Enter Sandman" and "Fade To Black" also made it into the semifinals.
Making into the quarterfinals are such Metallica staples as "Seek and Destroy," "For Whom The Bell Tolls, "Sad But True" and "Nothing Else Matters."
The prior round saw "Blackened," "Unforgiven," "Sanitarium," "Battery," "Harvester of Sorrow," "Creeping Death," "Ride The Lightning" and "Wherever I May Roam."
Here is the full bracketing:
Is "Master of Puppets" your favorite Metallica song?
