MTV Classic will air a block of Quiet Riot videos tonight at 9pm EST in memory of the band's drummer Frankie Banali. The block is a result of a fan-led petition.
Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali passed away on Thursday night, August 20, at the age of 68 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Banali was originally diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer in April 2019, and returned to the stage last November after successful cancer treatments. Banali unfortunately was re-admitted to the hospital this June, and unfortunately suffered a stroke earlier this month.
The fan petition worked! @MTVClassic is dedicating the 1st 1/2 hour of Metal Mayhem to @FrankieBanali this Friday @ 6pm…
