All That Remains guitarist Oli Herbert passed away in 2018 under circumstances that are part of an ongoing investigation. The band has since released Herbert's final album, titled Victims Of The New Disease, as well as tapped ex-Born Of Osiris guitarist Jason Richardson to stand in for Herbert on their current tour.
A recent interview with frontman Phil Labonte stated that All That Remains hadn't discussed a permanent replacement for Herbet just yet, though that interview turned out to have been conducted a little while ago, before the band had already made their final decision.
All That Remains has taken to their Facebook to announce that Richardson is officially their new guitarist and to clear up any confusion.
"All That Remains would like to clarify that guitarist Jason Richardson is now an official member of the band. Some recent interviews were conducted before a decision was made or announced regarding Jason. But the band has indeed welcomed him into the fold as an official member and is excited to get back on the tour and play for fans."
Congratulations to Jason, and all the best in the new gig.
