It’s time to spread the word that Om will be spreading the doom all over this fall touring throughout North America, with Zombi set to join them on the extensive 26-date pillage.
San Francisco’s Sleep-offshoot Om have not released much by the way of new music since the 2012 studio effort Advaitic Songs, but the group has released a few live albums here and there during that time. Progressive metal act Zombi, meanwhile, used the pandemic lockdown like many others did: they recorded a sublimely eclectic album of classic rock covers entitled Zombi and Friends that featured an impressive list of guests that included Black's Daron Beck, The Sword's Bryan Richie, Zao's Jeff Gretz, and Trans Am's Philip Manley. That album can be heard here. It features covers of "Takin’ It To the Streets" by the Doobie Brothers and “America” by Neil Diamond (we told you it was eclectic!)
