Phil Anselmo was one of the featured guests at The Days Of The Dead horror convention in Atlanta this past weekend, and the event was Phil's first public appearance since the controversial video surfaced of him shouting white power, for which he has offered both a video and written apology.
Video has surfaced of Anselmo performing a classic track from proto-emo band The Smiths, a band that Anselmo has spoken very highly of in the past, calling the band's message "extreme." Video footage of Anselmo singing "How Soon Is Now?" can be seen below:

It's likely no coincidence that Anselmo picked a song which featured the lyrics "How can you say, I go about things the wrong way? I am human and I need to be loved, Just like everybody else does." Anselmo is seeking an apology in the court of public opinion. Over the weekend, Anselmo fired off some more tweets taking full responsibility for his actions:
Every citizen in this entire world has the unalienable right to live with dignity and respect without hate or oppression.

It's common knowledge that we can choose to either learn from our mistakes, or continue on a path of insensitivity and destruction.

I am responsible for the mistakes I have made, and give you my word to no longer do them in the present, through ACTION, not just mere words

Elsewhere at the convention, Anselmo was serenaded by some fans singing Boyz II Men:
