Marilyn Manson's new Heaven Upside Tour tour is off to a rough start. Only three days into the tour, at the big New York City gig at Hammerstein Ballroom earlier tonight, Saturday, September 30th, a piece of the set fell on Manson as he was performing "Sweet Dreams." This occurred late into the performance. From the looks of one of the videos, it looks like Manson grabbed onto the gun prop and slipped and was immediately crushed by the set piece. The music and everything stopped. The show was cancelled shortly after.
Variety spoke to a label rep who notes 'the singer suffered a leg injury and was taken to the hospital and should be “fine.”' Bandmate Tyler Bates said he would be back in action soon. Fans captured video of the incident:

Metal Injection photographer Rodrigo Fredes was covering the event and according to a taped set list, Manson was through with most of his set:
@marilynmanson just got smooshed under part of his set…this is the same dude I used to see cut himself open on stage so surely he's getting up… pic.twitter.com/fBp48SvQAV

They just announced he's seriously injured. He's an incredible live performer & I've never-ever seen him leave the stage before finishing a set. I am super-sad, yo. @marilynmanson, hope you're ok, dude. I feel you. #postoplife #postopprobs ? https://t.co/kan8WTQNVU

This is oddly the second night in a row Manson has alledgedly hurt himself, as video footage surfaced from his show last night in Maryland, where it looked like he fell and twisted his ankle. After the fall, he literally crawled back on stage and said "I just broke my ankle, but it's okay because Alice Glass is going to fill in for me." Manson bizarrely added "I told you I'd break my ankle because the tour manager is a fascist." From the video, it's not clear if he seriously broke his ankle or was playing it up for show.
No word on Manson's current condition or what will happen for the remainder of his dates. Update: The future of the tour is in doubt.
