Relapse Records Sign WINDHAND

Richmond, VA doom-flavored metallers Windhand have signed with Relapse Records. The average BPM on the label just went down by 20.

About time Windhand got recognized for being badasses. With a self-titled debut in 2012  and a split with Cough out this year, Windhand show no signs of stopping. According to Lambgoat-

Windhand has begun laying down tracks for the to-be-named upcoming LP in their home studio, The Darkroom, where the outfit will record and mix the entire album, and deliver it to Relapse for a Fall 2013 release date. More details will be made available as the album nears release.

How's that for productivity? Overall, it seems like this kind of fuzzed-out psychedelic doom rock is the next big thing in the metal community, and Windhand have ascended to that throne along with the likes of Pallbearer and Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats with style and quality; let's hope 2013 brings more rockin' music from these Richmond natives.
