Rotting Christ has certainly kept themselves busy since the release of Rituals in 2016. Aside from touring, the band released a new EP called The Call this year with a brand new title track and live rendition of an older song, as well as the greatest hits compilation Their Greatest Spells with a new song called "I Will Not Serve."
Rotting Christ is done teasing fans with a new track here and there, as they've announced they're currently in the studio with producer Jens Bogren (Ihsahn, Katatonia, Opeth, etc.) for a new album. Here's what vocalist Sakis Tolis had to say about the album.
"After almost two years on the road promoting and supporting our latest album Rituals, the time has come to create it's follower. An album that will be inspired by the intense artistic worries which arose during those two years on the road, and which seems to be our darkest and most mystical influences yet in our career! Thanks for the support all those years, we will not disappoint you!"
Rotting Christ's label Season Of Mist says the album is due out early 2019.
