AC/DC, Reunited with Drummer Phil Rudd, Spotted Near Studio; New Album In The Works?

Rudd back in the fold for a new album?

Rudd back in the fold for a new album?

You might remember that whole mess with meth, pot and former AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd trying to hire a hitman to kill his assistant. We covered it in detail here. When Rudd was arrested, he was dropped from the band and previous drummer Chris Slade came in.

Could Phil be back in the fold now? Also, if reports are to be believed, the band is working on a new album.

The band's last three studio albums were recorded in Vancouver's Warehouse Studio. Canadian journalist Steve Newton reports that two separate sources bumped into two separate members of AC/DC in the area.

One source bumped into Steve Young, Angus' nephew who took over guitar duties when Malcolm Young was no longer able to perform, due to dementia. The second source spotted Rudd and they allegedly had a chat.

Adding more fuel to the fire is Kyle Harcött, vocalist of Hexripper who tweeted on August 3rd " "Just saw Phil Rudd with my own eyes. Rudd & manager walked by me on way into studio. Rudd wouldn't acknowledge me, & the manager gave me a FUCK OFF look and waved a stern NO DICE in my face. Mission accomplished."

While AC/DC has yet to confirm any details of a new album, rumors have been circulating this year that it's more of a "when" and not "if" scenario. For his part, Axl Rose said he would be willing to sing on the album if Brian Johnson is still unable to due to his hearing problems.
