To celebrate the launch of his new solo single, Wolfgang Van Halen appeared on the Howard Stern Show earlier today and offered some interesting pieces of news on what could've been with Van Halen, namely the crazy tour Eddie was planning before his health got the best of him.
Previously, Sammy Hagar revealed that Eddie was planning a reunion tour with original bassist Michael Anthony for stadiums all across the country, and now Wolfgang elaborated.
He noted that Eddie wanted to do a "kitchen sink" tour having both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar come out on the road, and invite original bassist Michael Anthony. There was even talk of having Van Halen III vocalist Gary Cherone join the tour as well.
"If only things had been better, it would have been amazing," Wolfgang said. He added that there are a "shit ton" of tapes that Eddie left, but it "will take a very long time to go through," adding "That's not the priority right now. I can't put a timeline on it. There will be a time we go through it. Not for the foreseeable future."
Wolfgang's solo album is scheduled for 2021 release.
