Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash was rumored to be in the studio in 2017 for a brand new Guns N' Roses album, and guitarist Richard Fortus said in the same year that the band was assembling ideas for a new album. While we're still not 100% sure if there is or isn't a new Guns N' Roses album in the works, a new rumor has absolutely thrown a bit of a wrench into things.
According to Blabbermouth, Slash's cumbersomely-named solo band Slash feat. Myles Kennedy & The Conspirators is believed to have been working on a follow-up to their 2014 album World On Fire since at least January.
This mostly stems from Slash's girlfriend Meegan Hodges, who said they were in the studio in late 2017, a rumor that Myles Kennedy shot down by saying there were no concrete plans to do so. Kennedy also said in interviews that the solo band had about half an album written, but Slash's touring commitments kept him from doing anything.
I'm sure Slash is in no rush to stop touring with Guns N' Roses either, considering he's making an unreal amount of money from it.
