Warped Tour has essentially become a legendary yearly tour of popular punk, rock, and metal bands whose existence goes back to 1995. The tour announced in late 2017 that despite having run on for more than 20 years, Warped Tour 2018 will be the final one as its incarnation of a tour. Founder Kevin Lyman says some of the reasons for calling it quits are dips in attendance and music culture is changing and kids don't want to go out anymore. Lyman does note though that even though this will be the final tour, Warped Tour may continue on as a one-off show yearly or a cruise.
So this being their last tour, Warped Tour ain't taking no shit on Twitter. The All-American Rejects vocalist Tyson Ritter tweeted (now deleted but captured by The PRP) at the tour saying since the band couldn't do the full routing, Warped Tour denied them. Warped Tour shot back saying that wasn't the case and that most of the band were actually into the idea, but it didn't work out.
"And since we are going 'full dick disclosure' – we couldn’t do the whole tour, so we came back and agreed to play a few shows, Warped went full elitist and said 'nope.' So your account is actually fucked here. I hope this feedback helps. Classless pricks."
pretty sure this isn't how it went down…pretty sure we were down with y'all paying a few shows…pretty sure we were told 3/4 band members were into it by your agent. we were trying to troll and squash rumors with this tweet, didn't mean to start a shit throwing fest

The Story So Far's Kelen Capener also stated in a series of deleted tweets that Warped Tour "publicly threw bands and individuals under the bus for not playing the tour, and hinted at unannounced engagements," to which Warped Tour responded with a two-pronged statement.
shall we start to count the times our lineup was leaked from insider information ….and this coming from the band that posted weed during an IG takeover on our account when we specifically asked not to

One fan also got in on the action, asking Warped Tour to get a throwback lineup together of maybe bands like blink 182, All American Rejects, Paramore, Yellowcard, My Chemical Romance, and Say Anything. To which they say it's not quite that easy.

Despite all the realness that took place, Warped Tour also took the time to make sure they were using their limelight for good!
real talk : y'all have a lot of energy and opinions on that lineup post, but that stuff isn't important in the big picture. if you want to voice your opinions on things that truly matter, please get involved with some of our amazing non profits! https://t.co/K1wzq77v71
