We couldn't believe our ears when we heard a new Incubus song we liked a few weeks ago. The band is set to release a new album, 8 on April 21st.
Interestingly, guitarist Michael Einziger tweeted this photo of Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd, producer Skrillex and Deftones frontman Chino Moreno with the caption "Magic"

The PRP speculates that the three collaborated on something on this new Incubus album, and it's just being announced now. I guess that would make sense. The other option is that Incubus finished their album, then went back into the studio after the fact for something completely different. That seems less likely, doesn't it?
I guess we'll know what this collaboration brings soon enough.
