Sacred Reich recently announced the addition of former drummer Dave McClain (ex-Machine Head) alongside that they'd be working on their first new record in 23 years. Sacred Reich has now revealed they'll release Awakening this summer, but before that they're dropping a two-song split with Iron Reagan. You can hear the new song "Don't Do It Donnie" right now from the split, which the press release says will also appear on Awakening.
Here's what vocalist and bassist Phil Rind had to say about the split.
"We are stoked to do a split with Iron Reagan. When we began as a band in 1986 we were influenced lyrically by punk bands and the Reagan era. This is a great way to get back to our roots. The song is a heavy and cheeky middle finger to the politics of today. You'd think we'd have learned by now. There is a reason our first record is called Ignorance."
Pre-order the split here and catch both bands on tour this May with Leeway and Enforced. More details on Awakening soon.
